Bray & Long, PLLC has exceptional depth of knowledge in the fields of motorsports, golf and professional agency, where our attorneys provide comprehensive legal counsel to a variety of teams and individual athletes throughout the Carolinas and beyond. William Bray began working in the area of motorsports prior to creating Bray & Long in 2003, and that experience has allowed Bray & Long to continue excelling in that unique area of practice as we near our 20-year anniversary.

Motorsports

The representation of teams, drivers and sponsors has always been our main area of focus in sports law. Our corporate attorneys have handled transactions in circuits as wide-ranging as NASCAR, Rallycross, Indy Car and IMSA, and our litigators remain involved in dispute resolution that often occurs in a sport where considerable dollars – and emotions – are invested.

Our location in Charlotte, North Carolina provides the firm with unique opportunities in terms of working with clients throughout multiple sports namely motorsports as the majority of NASCAR’s top teams are located in the region.

Industry Recognition

William Bray, founder of the firm, has served as the Chair of the Sports and Entertainment Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, where he hosted of the first-ever continuing education seminar dedicated to motorsports law. Since then, Mr. Bray has served as a program coordinator and speaker at TRAC – The Racing Attorney Conference. TRAC was founded in 2008 and hosts an annual, two-day event that alternates between Charlotte and Indianapolis.
